Meghan Markle’s gorgeous wedding day look was topped off with beautiful pieces of jewelry. The newly-minted Duchess of Sussex wore the Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, which was loaned to the bride by the Queen. She completed her jewelry selection with a pair of round diamond earrings and a bracelet made by Cartier, according to the Palace.
This is not the first time Meghan has worn Cartier jewelry. On April 21, 2018, Markle chose a gorgeous pair of round white gold and diamond earrings by Cartier for an Invictus Games event in London.

Prior to the wedding day, another jewelry designer often worn by Meghan was considered a frontrunner: Birks. The Canadian brand has a storied history (it was founded in 1879, and received a royal warrant in 1934), and Markle is clearly a fan of their designs. She’s been seen sporting Birks earrings on numerous occasions in recent months. In April, the soon-to-be-royal wore a pair of diamond swirl earrings by the brand to a women’s empowerment reception during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting:

Many people also expected the bride might wear custom jewelry including stones from Botswana, or from her late-mother-in-law’s collection. Duchess Kate’s parents had a pair of earrings custom-made for the big day by Robinson Pelham Jewellers in London. The diamond drops, which feature an acorn motif, were designed to complement the Cartier Halo Tiara Kate wore on her wedding day.
